From one-room schoolhouses to today’s micro-schools, we are reclaiming our legacy. With new funding opportunities—ESAs, Tax Credits, and grants—you can turn school ownership into a powerful career that transforms our children’s future.
Our Educational Journey
For generations, Black families have carried the torch of education in our own communities. In the past, that meant one-room schoolhouses—humble spaces built with love and determination, even when resources and fair pay were denied to us. Those schools represented resilience, self-reliance, and hope for a brighter future.
Today, we stand at a powerful turning point. What once began as one-room schoolhouses has evolved into what we now call micro-schools. And unlike the past, we are no longer without tools or support. With the current administration’s emphasis on school choice, Black educators and families now have access to real funding opportunities: Education Savings Accounts (ESAs), Tax Credits, Tax Deductions, and grants created specifically for micro-school founders.
This means we can return to our roots—providing community-driven education—but this time with the financial backing to build schools that are sustainable, empowering, and designed to give our children the education they deserve.
Our mission is simple: to remind our community of our legacy in education, to equip you with the knowledge of available resources, and to help transform school ownership into a promising teaching career that changes lives—our children’s and our own—for the better.
